I love this Album, could almost be Gang of Four! Which is Not a bad Compliment :)

this is an absolute classic album that still sounds insanely good in 2017.
        on-u sound vs political anger.

This is an extraordinary, almost indescribable album...

If pushed, I'd describe it as a cross between Flux Of Pink Indians and African Head Charge; leaning more heavily on the (Coal) latter and I'd add that when I heard that (the legendary) Echo Records in Byres Road, Glasgow, was closing, this was the CD I bought first, just to ensure I had a copy on CD.

Once, while with Hotalacio, I asked Coal if Flux would ever return. He told me that it wasn't exactly a profitable album for him (or for OLI) and that it wasn't likely that they'd ever do anything like it again.

This is a shame as it is one of the greatest albums I've ever heard!

i believe this to be one criminally overlooked album. political, malcontented, passionate. adrian sherwood's production is superlative, with his signature expansive, dubby sound. this lp was, for me, the blueprint of the melding of electronic, industrial-rock and the future jazzy, downtempo eclectic scene.
