This is from Brixton 30th December 1972 but unlike the original Space Ritual release, this is unedited and has no overdubs. The first track, Listed as "Space" is actually "Electronic No1" You Shouldn't Do That - Seeing It As You Really Are ld have been the encore. Silver Machine was not played at any of the show Space Ritual was recorded from.referencing Space Ritual Volume 2 (2×LP, Gatefold) APK8
"the mesmeric encore of "You Shouldn't Do That," "Seeing It as You Really Are" and "Silver Machine."
Absent...Why?????
Due to LP time limitations originally they were left off Space Ritual but this album is only 61 mins so time wise they could have fitted the encores on Side 4 on their own. Missed opportunity.
Same situation when Space Ritual was released as a Double CD...they were MIA there too when there was space to fit the encores.- Edited one year agoshineon84. I would like to see where is states "makes the American Phonograph version sound like an amateur recording” I am not against bootlegs but I am against Pirate copies. shineon84 needs to learn the difference. If you think Hawkwind are "Rich Musicians" you obviously ain't a Hawkwind fan.

ive had the CD version of this since the late 1980's, and now i finally have this on vinyl. the difference is night and day between the 2 versions!!! the CD sounds very bright and clear, but playing the vinyl right now and it has an unbelievable amount of depth and low-end power that the CD just doesnt have. probably the only advantage of the CD version is that the performance flows without any gaps in the sound, while the vinyl has some abrupt cuts/edits when it fades out then restarts on each side. if you have only ever heard the digital versions of this incredible performance, it will seem like you are hearing it for the first time when you hear this on vinyl. yeah, its that Good!!- I was not there at the time, but I think this is the 2nd or 3rd incarnation of the band. This is a 1972 release, the Debut album 1969-1970 was; Dave Brock, John A. Harrison, Huw LLoyd Langton, Terry Ollis, Nick Turner, DikMik.
- Edited 5 years agoHawkwind - Victim Of Sonic Attack. Cleopatra - 0572 2x Vinyl, LP, Numbered, Special Edition, Starburst Vinyl. This is by far one of the best albums I have heard in awhile. Clean, professional layout, great pictures and silkscreen, and to top it off with beautiful starburst vinyl and protect it in a silkscreen bag, (WITH GOLD LETTERING). The quality of sound is very close to perfect, it makes the American Phonograph version sound like an amateur recording. To hear the guitar work in " Time We Left This World Today " this clear was great.
