I bought this comp for the Tandu track which is not found in many places outside of it's original release. Tandu-Alien Pump in a classic in the genre and if you haven't heard it, you are in for a treat. It's a great track. The Miranda Track has also not been released on very many comps. Year 2000 is classic Miranda with her signature driving beat. Only downside is that the track has a distracting break in it, which hurts the momentum of the track a bit and eats up some valuable time of it's short 6:24 length. The Space Tribe track is also a rare track outside of it's original Space Tribe release and is a collaboration With Avi Algranati. For those 3 tracks this comp is worth the money......especially Alien Pump.

This truly is one of the best psy/goatrance compilations from the 90's. And for me this was also the album that changed everything. Along with this album I found the world of psy- and goatrance and never looked back since then. I found my CD copy from Estonian market (no doubt it's a pirate copy!) in '98 and still have it on my shelf.. Every now and then I'll come back to this album and listen to it with still being amazed how good it sounds and where it all started for me!

Distance To Goa 6 is powerful and brilliant goa/psytrance all the way from the opening track from Tandu to an epic ending with Hallucinogen. Highly recommended album to everyone!

It's wierd that this, how outstanding and classic, from most of all psychedelic compilations didn't get any review up to date...

But let's start from the beginning. Distance to goa 6 was one of the first various compilations in my life that I had opportunity to have a listen on a cassette back in the day (1998 I guess), and, whats more important for me, got me into psychedelic music. And, this comp was even studied by myself from start to the end, what is goa trance/psychedelic music. On one side, you have more techno-trance vibes with Amtinaous or Funkopath (aka Andy Guthrie), through hyped like Miranda, more acidic Cypher-O. Nerxt you have this very psychedelic and various in moods Space Tribe and very original Hallucinogen (and very experimental at the time of release). Compilation as a whole is essentional and emotional sonic journey into psychedelic dancefloor music, yet so beautiful and easily to listen with headphones at home...

Sad thing is, no one makes this kind of stuff anymore, you have only Full On, Darkpsy, Nu Goa where of course you will find some good and non-average tracks, but when speaking of heart in music ? Better stick to Distance To Goa 6 than search for newish psytrance stuff. This comp is really essential, you got everything whats the best in psy stuff. And, this comp is next argument that the best music was in 90's. Back to tracks on DTG6...Oh dear, that connection between Cypher-O and Space Tribe is just like you where touching the event horizon ...Highly recommended!!!
