Passport (2) – Second Passport

The song list above would be incorrect for the US release on Reprise. Regarding the differing track list between US and Euro releases, it's likely that when they got the distribution deal with WB in the US in 1973 WB chose only to proffer the second the German record, this one, to the US market but told Doldinger to replace Registration O with Lemuria's Dance and the Madhouse Jam. US record companies often did this back then if they felt the US market would be better served for the change. Most notably, Capitol Records did this with Beatles US vs UK releases. Around 1974 I also acquired the US version with the pink WB promo label, and Lemuria's and Madhouse on it, but every German release I've ever seen has Registration O instead.

One of my two vinyl copies is the Reprise MS 2143, and it appears just as the photo above, including the omission of the word "Second" and the pink Promo Copy Not For Sale sticker, *however* the song list is not as above, instead of Registration O there are two other songs; Lemuria's Dance and Madhouse Jam. I wonder if the song listing above is a mistake?

I've had this Passport album on vinyl since it was released in 1973. Although my version of the cover does not say Second Passport...it only says Passport. Outstanding collection of fusion, electronic jazz & rock inspired music. Loved the entire LP since I purchased it way back in the day. Favorite track : Fairy Tale. Thanks Klaus! Recommended!

outstanding, for me the best passport output beside hand made. this is a very unique fusion jazz rock vision, not to show how well they can play , but to make imaginative music with much atmosphere. there is also a lot stuff to sample here....great band, great tracks.

I have this cd in my collection. Rhythms and sounds with lots of imagination and feeling! Highly recommended!
