Klute... You don't need 10 words. Just yes, you should be listening to it.

This is what saved the breaks part of drum'n'bass in 1998?

CERT18 and Klute? In my mind he may be the most underestimated artist in his time. In a way that it hurts. There are others: Polar, DJ Teebee and Jonny L. I can't say Doc, but I would like to. When the d'n'b academy is eventually started many will be startled.

"Blitz"? An obvious timeless piece. I wish I could claim something like that. Eternal music. Next year it will be 20 years old?! "Talk Luba"? Many musical references.Blissful track.

That's just... If I ever heard push. It was so futuristic that it was unbelievable and it is still as futuristic. Ref. 1950's. "- You can't honestly like that?", "- You are just trying to be special." On that note, who would not want to be special?

"Blacksciencelabs" could not be produced today. The idea is just not there. As excellent as it is. DJ Teebee if you don't know. It was not called that then, but "Steppas" seems about right now.

Oh my lord! It will never sound as sweet again (not in my life-time). Never will you hear anything like it. Never. Proper free-ranging UK breaks right there. It is simply Bliss!

This is good shit. Don't understand at all what made people just pass over it. Cheap copies galore just buy yourself one and give it a listen. I'm not giving in to any specific genre of music, I'm giving in to good music despite what box you put it in. Proper precission Drum n Bass here that's all.

Does it have multipurpose tools? Yes! Put the second plate on the platter and get the c-side running. This is some serious dope bass-driven tunes, the dubby Arrival and the jazzy Blood Rich seriously got your ears wobbling in a good way.

Sharp and incisive d'n'b from Klute, who drops CASUAL BODIES like he's Jack the Ripper. Those deep hits on "Out of Silence" go straight into your being, while the continual darkness and vocal utterances on "Blitz" impart a haunted quality to the beats. Meanwhile, "Blood Rich" starts with a drum shuffle and adds some vibraphone to explore a more jazzy feel and "Talk Luba" drifts into atmospheric territory and "Arrival" goes dub-slow, but mostly, expect roughness, like the bass phased into a grumble on "True Human" or the feedback and growls on "Secret Love." Strong stuff here: let the bodies hit the floor!
