The pressing sounds fantastic. One of the best in my collection. Idk if it’s how it’s mixed or something or if it’s just the music itself but damn- I picked this Terre Haute copy up at an antique mall for $13.50 in what I felt was great condition, probably media EX, jacket VG+. This copy sounds excellent on my system. There is no skip on "Don't Make My Baby Blue," is this supposed to be a thing on the U.S. copies? Somebody said you're never going to find a "perfect" copy of this album, but I can't detect any issue whatsoever. It's a real winner.

Further info for the Shazam purists. After many years of searching, I scored a second press, only to discover the first press sounds completely different—better in all ways, apart from the dreaded stick on DMMBB. I've no idea why this would be, but possibly in making a new plate, they did things slightly differently. Maybe the second go used a copy of the masters: it certainly sounds like that. There's less dynamism, less punch. The 2nd press sounds grittier, with less clarity, and exactly like the Fly Doubleback pressing (which clearly uses the same plates). So, in summary, you're never going to get the ultimate copy—you either have a slightly inferior 2nd press without the stick, or a better sounding one with a stick. Damn! Personally, I've kept the first press and the Fly Doubleback version. The recent MOV remaster is fine, but you're missing out big time if that's the only one you have. With The Move, the OGs are the way to go, 100%.referencing Shazam (LP, Album) SLRZ 1012
Another thing to look out for with the original 1st press is the run out groove area on side 2 is wider than it is on the 2nd pressing. Not sure why they would have done that. Also, the Fly Doubleback pressing looks identical to the 2nd press, and shares the same matrix—obviously used the same plates. It also sounds very similar to the 2nd press.- Edited 3 years ago

Just a friendly reminder to those looking to list this album, if it has a matrix number on side 2 of YCARX 64-1U in the dead wax, it's not the 2nd pressing. This entry must have YCARX 64-2U in the dead wax. This pressing, as has been discussed, is to correct the skips that occur on Don't Make My Baby Blue.
The reason to add this comment is because many times the 1st pressing has been incorrectly listed here, so please be certain this is the right one before putting it up for sale. Thanks! referencing Shazam (LP, Album) SLRZ 1012
Anyone know the exact release date for this? I believe it was some time in Feb '70referencing Shazam (LP, Album) SLRZ 1012
The UK 2LP reissue is mastered from the first masters for The Move (both sides) and for this first master for Side 1, the problematic YCARX 64-1U is replaced by the YCARX 64-2U. At 15 pounds for a near mint copy (bought this week), it's a pretty good way to get these two albums...referencing Shazam (LP, Album) SLRZ 1012
I have 2 copies of Shazam and they both stick on don’t make my baby blue in exactly the same place , there both regal zonophone pressings- Excellent remaster on this title. Best I have ever heard. Highly recommend. No skips and nice quiet vinyl

Another confirmation that side two with the matrix number YCARX 64-1U jumps on Don't Make My Baby Blue. Sounds pretty awesome otherwise.
