999 – 999

Exploring MOV's catalogue is one helluva musical journey and finding this through the label is another win for me. Very tight band and album. Very clean pressing as ever from those Dutch dudes!

any recommendations as to whether the older German pressing sounds better or worse than the new Music on Vinyl version?

i found this one in a shop in nyc many years ago, always loved this band, great japan pressing, comes with really nice 1970s style obi & standard japan inner lyric sheet

My pal has a copy of this LP- one side is 999 the other is Kenny Rogers or some such country nonsense. Honest.Has anyone heard of this mispressing?

this is a very rare japan pressing of the first lp by the 999, the uk original issue came out in 1977 but this was not released in japan until may 1978, this comes on great japanese vinyl and a nice thick cardboard sleeve with a fold out insert that includes a few photos and lyrics and a review in both english and japanese, punk records from the 77/78 era on japan pressings can be very hard to find as not many where printed in japan as punk rock was not the big thing in japan like heavy metal and prog rock was in the late 70s and well into the 80s, anyway after a long search i was pleased to find a near mint copy of this with the beautiful obi strip as well, nothing like a complete copy, also i have a japan pressing of the second 999 lp seperates and that was released the same way this was in 1979 a year after this one, after the first 2 999 records i do not know if any more 999 records came out in japan, THIS ONE IS NICE
