A1, "Maxfield", starts the nicely odd proceedings with a heavily accented voice speaking dryly and tonelessly over off kilter hypnotic looping. A2 ups the weirdness ante even more. The female spoken vocals are back, now no longer speaking English. Sounds like they lifted soundtrack samples from some melodramatic 1930s film, and layered them over monotonous oil-drum banging. Odd in a good way. Finally, the b-side, "Ambivalente" gives us a respite from the weirdness with some soft ultra-minimal throbbing and clock ticking. - Edited 19 years ago

Awesome release with a skilful mix of opera-like spoken word on the B-side assisted by good tech-house beats. B1 is a hectic stand-up-comedy-like piece while B2 gives a deeper mood. A-side is rather dubby and relaxing. Keep going, UND.
