Dødsengel – Mirium Occultum

A really great album. My only gripe with this release is the high gloss of the records themselves; they are an absolute magnet for all manner of dust, hair, etc. I’m used to a bit of static cling to vinyl, but this one is the worst offender. My copy also has a bubble so side B of disc 1 needs to have the needle manually dropped about a minute or so in to avoid the skipping. One other issue: I bought this used on eBay (before I made a Discogs account) and the seller listed this as having only been played once with discs in perfect order. The high gloss hid a lot of surface scratching until under bright light which confirmed that if the seller had only played it once, I shudder to think what kind of setup resulted in this degree of scratching. Still, great artwork on the packaging, great sound quality and clarity, and a modern black metal classic. The price is right and maybe the problems I’m having are unique to my copy, well, the bubble anyway. Definitely worth a pick up: Dødsengel is great and this is easily my favorite album of theirs. If you’re gonna try and get this release, definitely ask for pics to check for bubbles, scratching, etc.

Which is the difference with the first Lp press? The matrix seems to be the same.
