V. Delay uses warm distortion, filters and lots of delay to create murky soundscapes. This is visceral music; imagine being inside a living body, listening to the sounds produced by the metabolism. Those sounds are accompanied by harmonies that reminds of dark, snowy landscapes. "Karha" is the greatest track ever by Mr. Delay in my opinion: devastatingly sad and beautiful. "Pietola" is lighter and longer. The track evolves over 16 minutes, with fluttering sounds enveloping a funky and somewhat cautious drumbeat. Absolutely essential.
