Early pressings of this LP on Capitol with rainbow labels were mastered (from Capitol's ST-914 master tapes) with the vocals out-of-phase and so will not play in mono without the vocal disappearing, leaving only the vocal reverb. Later pressings without rainbow labels use Capitol's T/ST master tapes, which were remixed with the vocals in-phase. All subsequent issues use those remixed masters and will play fine in either stereo or mono.

Unlike early pressings of this album on Capitol, this reissue has the vocals in-phase using Capitol's T/ST masters vs the older ST-914 masters, which have the vocals out-of-phase. This pressing will reproduce fine in either stereo or mono.

Keely makes her solo album debut, and it's a gas. You have the USDA Seal Of Approval: arrangements by Nelson Riddle. You have a remarkably great selection of songs. And then you have Ms. Smith herself, perennially underrated but always rock solid. She's more reserved here than on some of her other records, but she's still Keely. "Don't Take Your Love From Me" is the piece de resistance in a stunning set.
