      These old albums blow me away. They can be covered in marks and it still plays just fine with barley a pop! Plus this album is music history and sounds fantastic

        You can tell that Sam Phillips had a lot of faith in Jerry Lee Lewis. Not only did he write the liner notes for this album (something he almost never did), but this LP was loaded with never before released material (both Carl Perkins and Johnny Cash’s debut albums had a fair bit of previously released singles with a few new songs mixed in). And who can blame Sam, Jerry Lee was at the top of his game here, jumping from rocking numbers like “When The Saints Go Marching In” to bluesy ballads like “Goodnight Irene” with the greatest of ease.

        Unfortunately, around the same time this LP dropped, the news came out about Jerry marrying his 13 year old cousin, destroying any chance of this album enjoying any major success.

          My copy has same fonts as this lable but has Matrix / Runout (Side 1): SU-123 △561
          Matrix / Runout (Side 2): SU-124 △562, similar to https://www.discogs.com/Jerry-Lee-Lewis-Jerry-Lee-Lewis/release/13298946 Can anyone confirm if this also has the △561/△562 as well, or is mine another variant.
