As a young child in the late 70's, I stared and stared at this album until my dad actually played and MAN OH MAN I was blown away. And then to have Batman and the Monkees on it as well?!?!?
That and after seeing Dizzy Gillespie on the Muppet Show before picking a band instrument in 4th grade is it any surprise I became a trumpet player?
It has served me well and put me in the position of making music a career (teaching) AND owning over 800 LP's that I'm now putting into the Discog database...
      Thanks Al Hirt
      Thanks Dizzy
      Thanks Wynton
      Thanks Dad

Lots of super high notes that tends to wear down the listener. Maybe the stereo mix has a better balance with the backing instruments.
