Love every little thing about this singles and it shouldve been another top twenty.
        3 b-sides are good.

The strange thing about this single (and to some degree, the whole Elysium album - but that is a whole different conversation - personally think Andrew Dawson was a poor match for them) is the production. I like Stuart Price as a pop producer - but what is the excuse for the horrible audio editing at the beginning of "Memory" on the new mix? At first I thought it was a flaw in the CD pressing, but the digital release and "lyric" video (hideous new trend) also begin the same way. It's as if someone laid the needle down in the middle of the track with no post-production to smooth out the note - a very sloppy and jolting intro to an otherwise pretty good remix. "Listening" is one of my favorite tracks from the recent b-sides, but here again, the synths sound a little flat and the airy, glimmering, spacious qulaity you associate with them isn't quite there. This track could be a cathedral of sound, but sounds more like a demo. Since this is their own production, I'm wondering if the fact they worked on many of these tracks while touring is the reason - like Pet Shop Boys composed on a laptop with plug-ins with results that are not up to their usual quality level. "One Night" is good too, but you can actually hear some pops/clicks in the beginning - and don't think this was intentional vinyl noise added (that is sooo tired at this point), and the synth stab is sonically unpleasant, like a screech - again, like the audio quality is messed up; think the note could work, but why the sonic harshness? And finally, as mentioned by Robotrock, "Inside" is barely listenable. The song/lyrics themselves are good - it could have been something along the lines of "Your Funny Uncle," but the glitches (intentional I assume?) are really jarring and unpleasant - and they kind of occur randomly but still in synch. Perhaps it is a commentary on the song's message of being beautiful on the inside, but did they really need to make the outside of this track so ugly? As a whole the b-sides from this album have been so-so, but these could have really been stand-outs. Unfortunately, the audio production and touches keep them from being the gems they could have been.

This song is atrocious. Remixes are even worse. Can't believe that PSB went Euro trash route and commissioned Digital Dog to do the remix. It sounds like garbage. The boys have lost it. Officially.

Their latest single, remixed for single release by Stuart Price. The single mix is very typical of Price's work I think as it's synthy and bouncy. I don't prefer it over the album version but it does sound more radio friendly than the album version in my opinion. The b-sides are probably my least favorite set of B-sides from the Elysium era so far but they're still good. Listening and One Night are my favorites but Inside is a little bit too weird for me. I still think it's a real shame that they haven't released A Face Like That as a single. It's not my favourite song from Elysium but its the track that has the best potential to do well in the charts I believe. It should have been the lead single instead of Winner. Sadly, given that Memory Of The Future only reached #111 in the UK charts here and hasn't even had an official music video I do fear that there will be no future singles from Elysium now.

VERY brave of Ulrich to remove the quite frankly AWFUL chorus. Once again he delivers another lush as f*** remix in the vein of his remix of Depeche Mode's Little 15. We salute you sir. 4 stars.

This is so getting my nerves. Why these people don't stop the production of those CD-Rs...?
