- Hello. I made a purchase, but the Italian post office was unable to deliver the package and returned it to the sender. I don't know why this happened. Nobody contacted me. How can I receive my parcel?
- Edited 10 months agoOizo's always wanting to put weirdness on the dancefloor, which is good, but on this he seemingly didnt give two shits about a market. Sure, its random and annoying and sure, this was likely the juvenile response to his sudden Flat Beat fame years prior ("What was 'Flat Beat' about?").
But did Oizo ever again reached the level of energy and mayhem something like "Scum Hotel" has? He sure hasn't, is the answer. Not so far at least. Which is frustrating. We need batshit crazy Oizo back! - I have got a 12" test pressing of 2005 which contains the same tracks as on the advanced promo CD-R.
- When I first bought this album like the first reviewer I was dissapointed. I had expected a progression from the excellent "analogue worms" but what I found was more of a quantum leap. It sat on my shelf for a while and I hardly listened to it. Then one night quite late after a pretty heavy evening I put it on and something clicked. The level of detail that has gone into this production is quite awe inspiring, from the word go it grips you and will not let you go. If you're expecting an easy beat and simple groove then this is not the album for you but believe me there's a beat in there. It jumps it glitches, it skips and it scratches, but there's an undeniable funk in there somewhere. Its a slow burner, one that will slowly pick up fans over a number of years and probably end up being one of the most influential albums of the decade.

Perhaps one of the most inventive experimental electronic releases in the last 5 years. Autechre said in an interview that this album and J Dilla's donuts were the most inspiring electronic music they had heard lately. Someone described it to me as 'you know how Bogdan has mutated drum and bass in a kind of bedroom style? well Mr oizo has done the same thing but with disco' I'd say oizo has even taken it into more experimental territory than Bogdan has ever gone and for some people (like the above) reviewer that can be a bad thing.- Edited 18 years agoDancefloor devestation for those who know. Oizo seems to know everything there is to know about music to fuck your body up!
If you dig stuff like Alter Ego, The Soft Pink Truth, Cristian Vogel and other intelligent dance acts, you will probably love Mr Oizo and this new sound of his.
I´m a fan for sure.
