Notes
All Things Must Pass is a triple album by George Harrison. Recorded and released in 1970, the album was Harrison's first solo work since the break-up of The Beatles in April that year. The original vinyl release featured two LPs of rock songs as well as Apple Jam, a third disc of informal jams. Often credited as rock's first triple album, it was in fact the first by a single act, the multi-artist Woodstock live set having preceded it by six months.
In regards to the album's size, Harrison stated: "I didn't have many tunes on Beatles records, so doing an album like All Things Must Pass was like going to the bathroom and letting it out.
The album was critically acclaimed and, with long stays at number 1 in both the US and the UK, commercially successful. It was certified 6x platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America in 2001.
On the song "Awaiting On You All", after the third verse's "... Someone's thinking that we're all green", Harrison sings the following lines to end the track:
"And while the Pope owns fifty one percent of General Motors
And the stock exchange is the only thing he's qualified to quote us
The Lord is awaiting on you all to awaken and see
By chanting the names of the Lord and you'll be free".
The recording then ends with an instrumental close. On the inner sleeve printed lyrics, however, the "Pope" lyrics are omitted, and the lines are misquoted thus:
"... Someone's thinking that we're all green
By chanting the names of the Lord and you'll be free
The Lord is awaiting on you all to awaken and see
Chanting the names of the Lord and you'll be free
The Lord is awaiting on you all to awaken and see".

- when it comes to the Beatles solo albums, it’s usually always a huge debate of who’s better John or Paul but at the end of the day, I genuinely believe this is the best Beatle solo album. George was kind of held back a bit when he was in the Beatles when he finally went solo he shined brighter than the world

Was able to find a copy off B&N. Amazing press. My favorite solo Beatles album.- The CD release of the remix sounds pretty good.
Not so much pronounce in the higher part of the spectrum as i hoped to be, as it sounds very "warm" for whatever that means, also the bass is a tad too heavy in terms of loudness. The original recording had too less of it, and the melodies of Klaus Voormann smars beautiful, but in this remix it sounds a bit boomy. For the rest, it is pretty amazing! You can hear all those things happening you never heard before, like the instrument separation finally now is really good.
To me it is not a replacement for the original production, I actually like that sound as well (on vinyl though), but it definitely is for that 2001 remaster. This is a very welcome addition! Now I have this crisp version to listen to if I want to hear the man singing in my room, and I have the original vinyl if i want a epic grandeur happening playing before me.
Recommended. - Love the splatter vinyl and packaging. A+ on that front. Is it just me, though, or does George Harrison's nose sound stuffed up throughout compared to the original mix? This remix really falls flat for me.
- Beautiful, full sound on this edition, which does not, unfortunately come with the coloured sleeves and poster. But for sound, this is a winner!
- The copy I recently picked up sounds incredible all these years later. The burgundy wax is subtle and beautiful. Happy birthday to one of the greatest albums of all time.
- Can't believe I found this in the bargain bin at my local shop for $5. Still has all the paper sleeves, the poster, everything. Sounds great! Definitely my favorite solo Beatle album.
- Looking at other reviews it would appear I got lucky with this one, with all records clean and scratch/mark free with 4 out of 5 being flat, with only a very slight dish warp on disk 2 that in no way effects playback. I personally find this release to be more pleasing to listen to than the original mix/mastering which I found quite tiring to listen to even though this is one of my favourite albums. The new treatment feels more airy and open with George's guitar and vocal sitting slightly more on top of the mix resulting in this being a more emotional feeling representation of the songs within. The real magic here happens on the extra material on records 4 and 5. These stripped back demos and early takes are exceptional leaving me hoping this album gets the Giles Martin treatment at sometime in the future and also that I had gone for the superdeluxe edition for yet more of these cuts.
