Considering what was happening around this time I thought this release was fairly obvious & boring to be honest.
Released between Everybody in the place & Sweet Harmony this was weak for XL.referencing Spring In My Step (12", 33 ⅓ RPM) XLT-31
This is a great 4 track EP! Every track is worth playing with innovative use of samples and structure. Came out around that time when classical music samples were getting used with hardcore sounds. This EP gets them all in there seamlessly along side vocals and ragga samples! Always rocks any old skool set I play, well worth having in the bag..referencing Spring In My Step (12", 33 ⅓ RPM) XLT-31
I have this on an unmarked white promo, XLT31 with no other markings. Asolutely original and same tracks.- Edited 19 years ago
referencing Spring In My Step (12", 33 ⅓ RPM) XLT-31
"Spring" In My Step refers to the fact that the main riff comes from a sample of Vivaldi's Four Seasons, namely the "Spring" movement, hence the pun title. The Nigel in "No Nigel mix" refers to Nigel Kennedy who 2 years previously had had a massive classical recording success of the Four Seasons symphony, one of the biggest releases of the early 90s.
