- Superb track selection. this tape, later CD and the VHS tape were my own introduction into Chicago House and legit underground Techno and House. You never forget your first: at that time people in my home town, proper ravers, were more into Hard Trance/Goa Trance or Hardcore Gabba Techno especially ID&T childish Thunderdome/Terrordrome compilations.so this was something new and good.

what a sampler, every single track is a classic and its cheap. bought it in the 90s and still listen to it..- This mix contains some really great tracks, but it's mixed in a very sloppy and uninspired way.
I give it 6/10. - Edited 18 years agoOf all the releases in the X Mix series, this is probably the best one, save Kevin Saunderson's. Using some of his fave acid/deep house moments as well as a couple of under-appreciated techno tracks, Hell creates a deep emotional mixing experience that still occupies a regular spot in my cd changer to this day. IMO, this is the finest mix that Hell has ever released.
