this ended up getting messed up and i dont think another copy will ever show up. the mixing sounds the same as the retail, but the volume is a bit different - they probably added headroom to keep it from sounding like a lossy master (they got really loud on this album and lost clarity)
if you really really need a copy of this messed up disc, let me know, i was able to get a perfect copy of it.- Edited 4 years ago

Following their self-titled album, Adema released Unstable in 2003 during the Nu Metal "craze." This time, Adema borrows less from hip-hop and more from metal. Like their previous album, listen for themes of betrayal, self-harm, and helplessness, Chavez once again delivers the sound of desperation and pain in his vocal performance, matching the lyrical themes of each track.
The tracks follow a loose narrative, beginning with a co-dependent relationship and ending with laments of a scorned, tired lover looking back on the person for whom they once cared. The final track, "Needles" departs from the tempo of prior tracks and starts off with a galloping drum, leading into a whisper that rises to an angry, if not furious, scream declaring scorn and hatred for the dirty needles that once muddied his veins with heroin. "Needles" is the apex of the album and declares the narrators aggravated separation from the addiction he once shared with his former lover.
In closing, this album is crushingly oppressive and doesn't ease up for a moment. Lyrically, It has more similarities to Doom Metal and Post-Hardcore than Nu Metal. Musically, this album is a solid entry into the Nu Metal genre and handles a depressing, mature subject matter with all the subtlety of a wrecking ball's kiss.
Fans of Linkin Park will find similarities between this album and "Meteora," and "Hybrid Theory." If you enjoy this album, I recommend following it up with Glassjaw's "Everything You Ever Wanted to Know About Silence." You will find similar themes played over a thrashier, post-hardcore sound. In particular, I recommend the track "Siberian Kiss," as it most follows the harsh subject matter tackled by Adema's "Unstable.
