bought my copy off the shelf in 1994 at a small record shop in London ontario Canada.. holds up as a reflection of the biggest transition of DJ culture to mainstream awareness due to finess, ability, complexity and creativity. A must have mix tape for those into turntablism and the roots of hip hop beats / culture. A tour of the 'ultimate breaks and beats' on one tape.

Fantastic mix of breaks, cuts, and dialogue, spanning cartoons, comedy and movies, including Style Wars! There are several breaks from the Greyboy Allstars "Westcoast Boogaloo" that I recognize, which make this compilation of breaks interesting to note because not all the breaks are pre-80's. "Westcoast Boogaloo" is from the early 90's, a phenomenal piece of funk which I happened across by accident back at request's music on Maui. Also of note, ESG's "UFO" makes a brief appearance, but definitely impacts the mix with its own stylistic punch. Too $hort is also on the mix, towards the end; the break is from the "Freaky Tales Bonus Bass Mix" which is a glorious, bass filled track minute and a half long, which ends with his signature "Beeeyitch!" If you have not yet acquired this mix, go out and buy it, borrow for extended periods of time, cop it, jack it, whatever you need to do! Definitely Fresh *****

Sorry to bust your bubble but the credit really goes to DJ.DISK and GRANDWIZARD THEODORE. Qbert had nothing to do with this mix at all other than just making it,, the creation of these beats in this mix is Theodore ,, all other sounds , sports , cartoons, scratch ideas etc ,, all goes to DJ.DISK. This is the true story behind this fake imposter trying to take credit for something he didn't really do , the mix was fully copied exactly how Theodore did it in the original mix all the way down to the tee and Qbert even copied Theodore's style as well. The whole mix was fully arranged , put together and fully master minded by DJ.DISK. The owner of this original mix that i have comes from Crazy Legs from the Rock Steady Crew and Dj.DISK coped it off a double cassette recorder in 1992 at Crazy Legs house. The cassette art and even the title of the cassette was created by DJ.DISK as well and also this mix is older than 14 years ,, Theodore created this in 1979 as the cassette read.

As others have said, one of the best mixtapes of all time!

If anyone has 'trainspotted' the complete list of tracks, I want the list because I hate having cue sheets for mixes on my PC with TITLE "unknown track" and PERFORMER "unknown artist"!!

I think you know what I'm saying :)

What we have here is hands down the best mixtape of all time. A ridiculous statement I know but I'm prepaired to stand by it. You say to yourself a great mixtape should contain 20 plus tracks of your all time favorites.Bullshit. What it needs is what Demolition Pumpkin Squeeze has. Classic breaks, the ones you know & even better the ones you don't. Artistic beat mixing & pattern making. 100mph skratching. & for comic relief soundbites from television & film. Aptly named 'A Preskool Breakmix',this shit is the blueprint! Q-Bert's a madman & as we now know the most technically correct turntablist on the block, remember people this shits some 14 years old and there's not many that have come close to it in that time, if you don't already have it I strongly encourage all lovers of music to get a copy, it's been re-released in the last few years & if you can't find it locally, download it. A musthave.

This is maybe the best scratch CD ever made. It's mainly Qbert and Mixmaster Mike, but there's a segment with Shortkut (positive) and DJ Disk (I'm pretty sure). The cuts and breaks used are phenomenal, and the artists' tastes in music is what makes this mix so special. Obviously, the scratching, fading, and mixing is superb and totally unique (it's Q and MMM cmon), but there just aren't words to describe how I feel about this album. I'm blown away every time I hear it.
