A lot of reviews on audiophile forums trashing the 2002/10 Church remasters but I have this and the original Australian vinyl pressing and find this version to be superior - bass is deeper, the acoustic guitars and cymbals are more prominent , and while not having done any DR testing, it does not sound overly loud or brickwalled. The extra tracks are a nice addition too.

The release/copyright date for these downloads of the pre-Arista albums states 2010, but they were not available until late 2019 at the earliest. When I was still building my Church collection, I perused the download/streaming sites for any tracks I didn't have, and the selection only really comprised the Arista albums and compilations like Buddha's 'Under The Milky Way'. I stopped checking by mid-2019, and only noticed the early albums were finally available in early 2023.

Wonder why this one has never had a repress - such a great record!

Catchy, layered, beautiful, jangly neo-psych-pop songs from a terribly underrated Australian band - still going strong today. Not a duff track on this from start to finish.Timeless excellent classic.

Anyone got a view on the remastering from the original release? Is it worth getting?

There are three listed Australian reissues on CD with the white cover, this version is pressed by D.A.T.A. (1992-2004), another pressed by Disctronics B (1987-1995) and finally Regency (2003-present). None have remastering info (original mastering by Bob Ludwig), I wonder if they are all identical masters. I have this version, the Disctronics is earlier, the Regency is perhaps the newest. I wonder if there is a difference in quality.
