referencing My Lady Héroïne (7", 45 RPM, Single) 6172 026
"My Lady Heroine" is a quite lesser known song from Serge Gainsbourg's 'disco' period (ie. "Sea, Sex & Sun"...) and certainly one of his best. This sweet n sour homage to heroin is indeed ultra addictive in a loose, laidback, almost kitsch disco way (irresistible melody included, apparently brilliantly ripped from the classical repertoire, in Gainsbourg's typical fashion), and never fails to bring the ladies on the dancefloor.
In my book, another secret leftfieldish dancefloor weapon.
