Love New Order since the early 80s. Love all their remixes because they are fun and great for testing your system. Stereo or DJ Set up.If I want the original I go to the cd. When I want something different and sometimes exciting..I go for these.- Padded bubble effect to side B label, there's two paper labels which have been adhered to the vinyl.

Ask a layman to name a song by New Order and they will probably come up with one of three responses; Blue Monday, True Faith & Crystal. A spectacular return to form by the Northern giants 'Crystal' was the lead single to come from New Order's 7th album 'Get Ready' and was seen by many as a perfect comeback. An incredible battle between electronica and rock, 'Crystal' is a fast paced tune showcasing familiar key notes from New Order's style, including a piercing bassline and catchy lyrics. The eight years they had been away proved to have a positive mix of modern influences, with various forms of dance music giving the group the creative boost needed to put together this catchy little earworm.
Also featured is the b-side 'Behind Closed Doors' - a mournful piece that oozes trip-hop vibes and late night musings. This song also ended up as a bonus track on the 'Get Ready' release in Japan and really is a widescreen representation to the artists many of the New Order cast had been working alongside throughout the 90's, including Chemical Brothers & Hybrid. Last is a remix of 'Crystal' by Progressive House duo John Digweed & Nick Muir. Stretching the track to 10 minutes (though the full version is over 12 minutes long!) this hedonistic reworking has techno at it's roots and is a great rendition for it's time.
'Crystal' is a true early 00's classic that marked a perfect start to the new century (though 'Get Ready' would be the last album to feature the original line up) and as one of the few New Order singles to feature more than just remixes this release is a real gem for any lover of their work. referencing Crystal (Acid Planet Mixes) (CDr, Promo) none

Bedrock's remix is boring and takes the track nowhere, an overly long progressive house tune with no proper structure, it still boggles my mind how this got much support. Creamer & K's went for their usual darker progressive house schtick but kept it fairly interesting. Lee Coombs however stole the show with his tribal-influenced driving breaks rendition. Coombs used the source material to great use and kept the guitar from the original and Peter Hook's bassline.
Hook who has been famously quoted saying "None of these bloody remixers ever use my bass lines. I put in all this time and effort yet they use Bernard's vocals but they don't bloody use my bass". I'm sure he was happy when Coombs used his bass.
