Edited 6 years agoI about jumped out of my socks when I put this set on! Holy smokes! Side A is one of the best sides ever! It goes from strength to strength. "She Knows How To Rock Me," "That's Who I Am" & "Shake Me In Your Arms" are all wonderful. If there was such a term as "rhythm & bounce," that would fit this disc. It's beautifully bouncy. I had purchased another recent Taj Mahal collaboration and smiled sympathetically thinking that like Dylan, this guy's voice was completely shot. Not so! He and Keb' Mo' play off of each other exquisitely. Side B is still good, but the pace slows and the song choice has some more "positive world" songs that sound like anthems born of ideas rather than passionate songs coming out of first-hand life experience. So I prefer side A, but this is a very handsome record, certainly one of Keb' Mo' best; and that's saying a lot, because I buy everything he does. Bounce way!
