'Alska Betong-Jungln' bangs along with frantic snare bursts, trademark CLB percussion & that growling, menacing, nasal baseline that gives the track a truly sinister edge. Would sound at perfectly at home in a DBX (Daniel Bell) set.
'Svartflirtad?' features crystal bouncing synth bursts & a simple pounding drum workout. A tool/builder, atmospheric & bright as a button, with short key changes that work so well on this type of simplistic techno.
'Till Dig Steve' from the offset made me think of G.T.O's 'The Bullfrog', on account of the heavy short delay reverb used on unusual bits of percussion. The track actually takes a different line altogether, a deeper journey than the A side, perhaps more Detroit orientated in style, fresh, light & swirling, rather than pounding. The synth lead comes in over halfway through, adding to the dream like vibes & making this a subtle beauty.
The usual quality from CLB for (currently) not too much of your hard earned... Still sounds crisp by todays standards, & for added fun, the track titles sound like items you would find in the Ikea bargain bins 😂 gotta ❤the Netherlands
