Reviews
- Edited 2 years agoWhile Low’s previous album Ones And Sixes teased at a more electronically distorted sound, I still wasn’t ready for this trip into the unknown. The tight harmonies are still there, as are the charmingly forthright lyrics, but the shape and texture this time around is so wildly different as to have the impact of a brand new artist’s work. An exceptionally exciting new direction for a band well established enough to not need to take risks (and incredible live as well).
- I've finally pulled the trigger on this one after hearing the new album and remembering the good memories i had listening to it digitally for the good part of the end of 2018...
I was pretty wary back in the days because of all the mixed reviews regarding the different pressings. After stumbling upon a cheap but new copy, i can say i'm very pleased.
The record is clean, almost flat & totally noise free.
And, even though the dynamic isn't the liveliest ever (because of the production), this record sounds pretty good to me! - Edited 3 years agothank you low for making one of the best and most brave record of our generation. absolutly unbelievable - .. i hope you know that a lot of people aware of that. *
- I had never heard of these guys before this record. That could be an advantage judging by
a couple comments. This record is awesome. It’s fresh..the combination of electronics and
voice is incredible. This is absolutely one of the best releases I’ve heard in quite awhile. I got
the pink swirl version and it looks and sounds great. What a gem of a find! - Great album, but yes, fairly experimental. This is Low's "Kid A," maybe? This pressing is quite disappointing, however. Way too many clicks and pops for a brand new LP. I'm returning it and trying the black vinyl.
- Not all copies of the Loser Edition release are missing the "e" on the spine, y'all. Notes should reflect this.
