- played this album 4 times now. Love it. Its not as immediate as their previous album, but uninspired it is not. Its BJM and it alk sounds the same - that is until you hear it a few more times and subtleties start to appear. Side two is a ripper with some nice organ intertwined with Anton's drone guitar. Either Tess's voice is not so gravelly or I am getting used to it :-)
btw - the clear vinyl thank christ is a good pressing with little to no noise. - Edited 4 years agoMusic wise a veey uninspired album. No comparison to its predecessor. Disappointed about the outcome, thought there were demo tracks released by Anton that had way more potential. For example: "Unwohl" would have been some interesting new territory. It sounds like they took the safe route, just repeating themselves, in a bad manner. Tess' voice and lyrics are always great to listen to, just the "carpet" rolled out doesn't fit as it used to. Edit: start to love the album...all in all its tess parks and the music that compliments her!
