Reviews
- Although there is no CD release of "With Compliments" currently listed on Discogs, all the tracks from the album are available on the CD compilation "Meine Schönsten Erfolge". The only additional track is "Don't Cry For Me Argentina"
- One of Last's most adventurous albums. It is a mix of easy, mood and upbeat tracks but features the full orchestra sound and choir. There’s a lot of moody, electric guitar in the background, especially in “Rainy Rainy”. A brilliant, powerful version of ‘House of the Rising Sun’ with the electric guitar taking the place of the vocal, and a very sensitive interpretation of ‘Ballad of the Easy Rider’. A vibrant string section majors in ‘Evie’ and ‘The Pearl Fishers’. Trumpets are to the fore in most tracks. Recorded in 1970, its well worth a listen.
