Reviews
- Edited 6 years agoThe soundstage is not as big and dynamic as other albums and after doing some research it just might be a case of this album just not being recorded that way. Dynamic wise, this album has generally scored consistent across multiple pressings and media, retaining it's dynamic range even on CD.
And that's not to say that this pressing is bad, far from it. The bass lacks some impact but can easily be boosted without muddling the mix since the other instruments are so bright and removed from the bass frequencies. So though the soundstage lacks any great depth, you can still force separation when you boost the bass and crank the volume up. It's a great iteration of an amazing album but I wouldn't say you're necessarily missing out if you already have the FLAC file for this recording.
