This is a great record from end to end. Ron Frangipane was a master arranger and that mastery is on display all throughout this album. Jingle Jangle is excellent, as is Venus, Something and Wedding Bell Blues. Is That All There Is is a sleeper favorite. Ron’s Moof playing is very forward on several tracks and lends this record a huge bottom end for the time in which it was recorded. The players in the orchestra are very strong. Many of them turn out to be players that Ron used for the next decades of his career. Heaven Knows and Holly Holy round out my favorite cuts but there is nothing I skip.

Side one starts out strong. Lots of funky moog sounds, nice deep bass, full orchestrations . Halfway through it devolves into generic elevator music. Side two starts out again with the funky moog that goes deep into the bass. But by the last few songs, the funky moog is gone and it's generic orchestrated elevator music albiet with a slightly more uptempo beat. Half a good record.
