The bassline in the Steve Bug remix is such a 'hook' that I instantly heard it in my head again after not hearing it at all since... 2005?
But I also have ******** super powers. So there's that.

This is indeed the best selling 12" for Gigolo this year . It is a dancefloor-filler over here in germany , but the only side that gets played is of course the Steve Bug remix . This mff/classic stuff is loved by critics and the "few" , but the dancefloor screams for simplicity and strong beats , which are delivered here by Steve Bug in superb quality . Loads of people herald this as his best remix to date !!! Very strong composition and one of the better trax from the MFF album .

Though DJ Hell’s label Gigolo has tarnished its previously glowing reputation with some decidedly off key recent releases, Freak’s electrofunk anthem The Creeps could single handedly restore its reputation.

Catchy, simple and devastatingly effective, the track’s basic song structure and stripped down synth lines hark back to the early 80s when electro as a term included New York hip hop, and the track could easily have emerged from America’s cultural capital. Instead, it’s the handiwork of Luke Solomon and Justin Harris, two Englishmen hailing from London and south coast seaside town Bournemouth respectively, both of whom are best known for house music.

The Creeps, in fact, appeared on the duo’s own label Music for Freaks, on their second album The Man Who Lived Underground, only being picked up by Gigolo a few months back. The vinyl version features the duo’s original mix on one side and an instrumental minimalist mix on the flip, by German superstar producer type Steve Bug, though significantly Freaks’ own first mix remains unequvocably the best.
