This record sounds wonderful, I have none of the issues listed here. The color is beautiful and the mastering is spot on. Glossy tip on sleeve and RTI inner are a plus, this is what being a vmp member is all about

Same here. My copy has some crackling in the last 3 grooves of side A and a little lighter but for a longer time at the end of B. It's just a little bit more noisy than a regular RTI pressing but nothing distracting. Great sounding record. Even the color, which I normally don't care much, is really interesting.

After buying "the all seeing eye" from the tone poet series and knowing that Mephistopheles was composed by Alan Shorter, I went to search music by this artist and I came to this release. I'm enjoying it so much.

I confirm some crackling noise at the end of each side on my copy. Plus, there is some sort of ghost recording (don't know if this is the exact term) on track B2: you can hear the horns during the silent parts few seconds before they actually play. Might be related to the tapes used, and not a pressing issue.

Otherwise, the sound quality is amazing; the music is dense but does not lack clarity. The packaging is great. Happy to have discovered this gem through VMP!

What's the word on this pressing? Any word on if there will be a black pressing?
