Reviews
- Hands down ,by far the best version of this collosal masterpiece ..The best track selectiom and easily the best running order .How other versions could NOT have Thank You Friends as the closing number is a critical flaw
- Might I ask why this is considered a “dark and depressing” album, I could never understand it. Or maybe I just listen to a lot of dark music that I can’t even tell?
- I love Big Star, fan since the early 90's.
Oddly, 3rd has grown on me during these past decades. #1 Record is just that when it comes to Big Star. That being said, 3rd is the most interesting and enjoyable to listen to. Sad songs, experimental sounds, stripped down rock and roll, session men, a VU cover, and that Jody Stephens tune!!! Their best?
