Reviews
- Edited 5 years agoGreat piano led trio, perhaps the mix isn't phenomenal but I would hardly consider this a "document" recording. This is essential free jazz listening for fans of Cecil Taylor or Don Pullen! The rhythm section formed by the rare matchup of Peacock and Graves is a tidal wave, paying little attention to typical time, instead focusing on energy and emotion to power Davidson's complex piano lines. Overall a high favorite of the ESP catalog for myself. - fav track: B1 Ad Hoc (12:15)
- Mix isn't great on this recording. Very piano heavy, drums are distant and muffled, the bass is almost completely lost. I would say this is a document recording.
