Imo dreadful mastering, overloaded bass, muddy, messy bleeding into everything. Record popping like candy.. returned and will stream instead. Very disappointing!

Can anyone comment on the quality of the new, 140g ‘2nd Pressing’ that’s currently available on Bandcamp?

My sounds great and has a wide dynamic range.
For my opinion it is audiophile recording.

My black vinyl copy sounds pretty good! Quiet, sure, but a couple of rounds on the RCM and it’s free enough of surface noise to crank it up a bit. I don’t find the soundstage that narrow, but there’s more width in the Qobuz version, granted. I read the reviews here after buying and before playing, and I was expecting the worst, but I can happily listen to and enjoy this.

Truly a horrible pressing. Shame as the music is simply sublime.

As others have said, not a great pressing of this. Small soundstage, noisy, badly mastered, you name it. Wish I’d waited on this one.

The Vinyl sounds bad! My copy was warped, full of dust and the inner Sleve was destroyed
The Yussef Dayes Experience is outstanding, it deserved more quality!

Agree with Acoustician unfortunately. I love this set—I saw him play in San Francisco just before this was recorded and it was beyond magical. I want this to be good so bad, the mastering is just muddy. No separation and a very narrow soundstage :/ (I just cleaned it and no improvement).

The youtube video sounds noticeably better. The mastering for vinyl is not great.

Whoever decided to cut 20 mins of music on one side and leave side B blank was on crack. What a wasted opportunity here, this could have been pure heaven at 45rpm spread across two sides D:
