- This was one of the soundtracks that was a must when I started to collect vinyls.
An absolute favorite film of mine from when I was a kid and the soundtrack is magically eerie, as the film is.
Bought this from a seller here on Discogs and it’s perfect. No sound issues whatsoever and it’s in pretty neat condition. So happy to have it! - It's nice to have an uncommon soundtrack to a movie that I loved as a child but didn't get much traction during its release. It definitely doesn't fall in the upper echelon of orchestrated soundtracks from the 1980s. It works just fine, but doesn't have the timeless or even the emotional qualities of some of David Shire's brighter contemporaries. Thematically, it's not very memorable. Still, it fills the room nicely when played.
