The Angantyr songs are basic Angantyr (opinion based on hearing the debut): boring and unimaginative, though there are quite a few good riffs. It's not that bad, but I really see no reason to listen to it when I can just listen to the bands that inspired the music (and the influence of which is clearly heard) or some better stuff. No need to reinvent the wheel, but the wheel doesn't spin so well here. The sound is ok, but quite dull. The live song is a redundant and uninteresting bonus that doesn't fit the whole.

The Nasheim song, on the other hand, is much more interesting. Quite many good riffs, and many that are not that special. Overall, this is much more creative than Angantyr's side. The song doesn't hold in its grip for this long (over 25 min), but it's still all right. The guitar sound is not that good, but you get used to it quite fast. The programmed drums are the weak link here. This song would be much better if it was released as a separate EP, and even better if the riffs were just used to make a few separate songs.
