Reviews
- Referencing Steeleye Span - A Stack Of Steeleye Span; The cover says "Their finest folk recordings 1973 - 1975" but these are, of course, all taken from the 1970 - 71 albums "Hark The Village Wait", "Please To See The King" and "Ten Man Mop".
The, er, accidental misprint was corrected on a subsequent re-release which states "1970 - 1971".
The confusion (or possibly con) is furthered by the drawing on the CD booklet, which shows the "All Around My Hat" incarnation of the band active from 1972 - 1976. Overall a rather unappealing package with a slight whiff of "cash-in" about it. Superb music, of course.
