Notes
This listing is ONLY for the very first issue that plays a different version of ''Tell Me'' with a running time of 2:52.
To identify this scarce release, check the B-Side matrix. It has to end on 1A or 2A!
The common second issue with matrix numbers 3A and upwards on B-Side (4:06 - long version of "Tell Me") are NOT first pressings and shouldn't be listed here!
As assembling was not linear, this release exists with either "Mona" or "I need you baby" on label / sleeve.

- I have a variation not listed. It has a B2 cover, but the record has a K/T tax code, B.I.E.M. AND N.C.B. are stacked on the left side BUT it has both "Made in England-The Decca Record Co. LTD" at the top. Matrices are XARL 6272-2A on the A Side and XARL 6272-4A on the B. It has the longer version of "Tell Me". Any thoughts?
- I've got a pressing on matrix XARL-6272-6A, XARL-6271-1A
it's got a mis-spelling of ''Dozier'' on track B4 as has been spelt ''Bozier''
I cant see this copy on here. Is it rare?
Trying to work out what I could sell it for.
Cheers - I have a version with these run out numbers:
Side 1: XARL - 6271 - 2A
Side 2: XARL - 6272 - 4A
Anyone know which version this is? - Not seeing an entry for a UK Cover B2, Label X, with XARL 6271-1A / XARL 6272-4A. It's a 1964 since above the two boxes on the left it says Recording First Published 1964.
Anyone find this one? - Can someone explain if the releases with the longer version of "Tell Me" can be first pressings, even if not the most early pressing? Or is a release with the long version a reissue?
"The very first issue plays ''Tell Me'' with a running time of 2:52
All later issues play ''Tell Me'' with a running time of 4:06"
Thanks a lot, Ed - My copy has Cover B2 and a mixture of Label W and X: The label rim reads on top "Made In England. The Decca Record Co. Ltd". On Side 1 label the N.C.B. and B.I.E.M. captions are stacked vertically on the left hand side. On Side 2 label the N.C.B. and B.I.E.M. captions are also stacked vertically on the left hand side and NOT side by side on the left hand side.
- Another label variation: 2A/4A Pressing with JT tax code @12o'clock. This has unboxed Decca red/silver labels with "BIEM/NCB"(no periods, side by side, boxed on the LEFT side of the label. Made in England. The Decca Record Co Ltd. at top. Sleeve is B2.
