- I'm looking to buy just the box of this release (no vinyls) from someone within the EU, in VG+ condition and upwards. Contact me if you can help me upgrade my copy.
- Edited 3 years agoI listened to the entire box set in one sitting today. As with all Troniks releases, there's a wide and eclectic array here. Sometimes I thought my stereo had turned off, sometimes I thought my stereo had been hijacked by broken toasters, sometimes locked grooves went on for several minutes before I figured out what was happening, sometimes I lost attention and thought of Welcome Back Kotter, sometimes I thought of how noise music is kind of like a static Doppler effect, sometimes I was reminded of doors on extremely rusty hinges, sometimes I detected insects, sometimes I heard anger, sometimes I heard sorrow, sometimes I heard catharsis, sometimes I heard Stockhausen, sometimes I heard Whitehouse, sometimes I heard a whiteout of stalker soundtrack music, sometimes I overthought my thinking, sometimes I heard knobs being turned, sometimes I heard studios being burned, sometimes butter being churned, sometimes I heard leaves under feet, snow over head, wind in my ears, traffic far way, traffic magnified, sometimes I believed in it, sometimes I denied it, sometimes I felt connected to it, and sometimes I felt estranged from it, sometimes I thought I maybe heard a processed guitar, and sometimes I thought better of thinking so much and sprawled supine and focused, sometimes I spiraled in my headphones, sometimes my cat was there, often my cat was not, sometimes I stared out my etiolated windows and watched the city gloaming, which reminded me of Robert Frost, and then I got hungry, and sometimes I was glad for the free time I had to listen to this all, and sometimes it alarmed me that I have this much free time at all. Sometimes some times are worth something. I am better for this day. The Solid Eye side was my favorite. I deserve a beer.
