Reviews
- Edited 13 years agoUncle Pat is the best of Ash's early singles, built on a stirring emotive riff from Tim Wheeler, it has a subtle celtic lilt in line with the bands Irish heritage without degenerating into cheesy folk.
The B-sides here are pretty good too, Different Today is full of rapid energy expectant of a band who were only in their teens. The curiously titled Hulk Hogan Bubble Bath is a sludgy, grinding number with some pretty riff changes, that could have ended up an utter mess but actually ends up being pretty enjoyable for a B-side.
