Abba Gargando – Abba Gargando

I grew up in South and West Africa listening to music like this my entire life. This past year, I moved to the Netherlands, my first time living in Europe. It has been a difficult year for me, learning to live alone and getting used to the pace of life here. One night, I discovered Abba Gargando on Youtube and it gave me the warmth and hope I was missing.

I read about the story of how this album was recorded and it was like a bittersweet moment, in one hand it reminds me of how many artists are forgotten due to unjust circumstances, and on the other I'm beyond happy to be able to hold and play this vinyl for the years to come.
