Reviews
- There are a lot more misses than hits in this collection. Motown were still in the process of creating that unique sound that along with the Beatles would help define the 60s. Some of the earliest golden nuggets are here from Mary Wells, Smokey and the Miracles, Martha and the Vandellas and Marvin Gaye. The Supremes have yet to find their feet while the Marvelettes lose their way.
