Keep coming back to this album recently (As I do others in their own time). There's a consistency to this album that I failed to appreciate before. Superb stuff

Lucky enough to get a great deal on a NM/VG copy of the first three-sided pressing...and it sounds incredible. Loud and bassy which really serves the d n' b/breakbeat/dub tracks on here--I love Levitiate but some of the same material (of the genres mentioned) sounds a bit weedy in comparison. The rockabilly/punk covers sound brilliant and I would say that The Unutterable carries on this experimentation but TMS is much more consistent, song-wise. I love it. So glad I waited to people to afford a first pressing, totally fucking worth it.
In it's own way this LP is just as avant-garde and experimental as Hex. Incredible stuff.

MES sounds more or less intelligible over a bone-rattling bass, so this must be one of those really iconic Fall records.
