Willie Salcedo

Colombian percussionist born 1952, Corozal (Sucre), Colombia died November 12th 2020 from complications due to Covid 19 also known as Willy Salsero.
During his childhood, a close person began to call him Willie and he decided to use it as a stage name.
Besides being a renowned artist, he is the son of the conductor Pedro Salcedo Ortega, who created the music for "La Pollera Colorá". Likewise, he was part of groups such as Ramon Ropain, Alfredo Linares, La Tropibomba, Los Ocho De Colombia and La Colombia All Stars." – al Khaleej Today obituary
