Ludwig Hoelscher

Profile:

German Cellist born 1907 in Solingen and died 1996 in Tutzing.
He studied in Cologne, Munich, Leipzig and Berlin, by Hugo Becker, Julius Klengel and Wilhelm Lamping.
1930 together with Ibolyka Zilzer he gets the "Mendelsohn-Preis".
1936 was the first time he played with the Berliner Philharmoniker und Wilhelm Furtwängler, resulting in a Lifetime Friendship with him.
