The English rock band The Beatles existed from 1962 to 1970 and has recorded 12 studio albums.
Abbey Road is the 11th studio album by British rock group The Beatles, released on September 26, 1969 in Great Britain and Germany. In the UK it was their twelfth album including the compilation album. In Germany it was their 15th album including the compilation albums. It was released in the US on October 1, 1969, where it was their 18th album.
The album was named after the street of the same name in London's St. John's Wood in the City of Westminster, where EMI's recording studios are located, where most of their recordings were made. Abbey Road is the last album the Beatles recorded together.
With over 31 million copies sold, Abbey Road is one of the most successful albums worldwide.

Cool to have this quite rare very first Winchester run, though with emphasis on the "to have it" part, because the sound is pretty bad. Vinyl quality is like sandpaper, sound itself is grainy, and the IGD at the end of each side is horrendous. Get a later US capitol reissue, or if you can find one, a UK original.

For some reason it's hard to find this edition in good nick, but by jingo does it sound good! Uses the same -2/-1 stampers as the favoured UK first pressing. Comes with poly-lined black inner sleeve and the added bonus of a flip-back sleeve! Very cool 😁😎

Question for everyone is this? If I have this, is it worth tracking down and paying 100 bucks for a first pressing? Is the difference that major? Cheers!- Such a contentious pressing but I find that although the bass is strong it is never muddy or boomy, and along with the fact that it's such a good recording anyway this MFSL pressing really stands out. Very smooth overall with lovely highs, a great soundstage and plenty of punch when turned up, plus it's better than the 2019 remix, all analogue too. I feel that the MFSL 'smiley EQ' really works here but it probably does depend on your system.

This pressing is a magnificent example of how beautiful this album can truly sound. Paul's Bass is clear and punchy, the vocals are crisp and clear. It may not be as good as a UK original, but it sure comes close to my ears. Probably the best CAPITOL pressing there is. and it is all Analog! (not a digital cd master) pick up a copy you wont be disappointed.- This version is completely missing Her Majesty. UNLIKE other similar pressings, this one does NOT list 'Her Majesty' on the B-side label. The song is not on the album itself, it is not on the jacket, it is not on the labels. It is missing entirely. It is not a "hidden track", the album ends with 'The End'.
Absolute stunning 1st press. Clear sound, big soundstage. It's hard to find in decent condition nowheredays at a reasonable price, which is no wonder, since no one wants to sell this record, if they do, they charge an insanely high price for it. This is the real abbey road sound from 1969. I dont need any remaster.
