Reviews
- Underrated indeed! Really hope this one is given the Acoustic Sounds Series or Analogue Productions treatment sometime soon. You've got Evans with his most notable touring trio (the crew we see on most recent Evans releases) and Steig demonstrating his killer Jazz flute skills through various tempos. Looking forward to a reissue of this one!
- Edited 3 years agoSide one is a pretty well restrained interpretation of standards...
but Side 2 they really 'rock' out specifically Steig's flute on 'Time Out' and 'So What'
and Nardis (Spartacus Love Theme) is a pretty song, as it is on all his albums.
Evans is comping in the background while Steig is in the spotlight playing all melodies and solos
