A few of these Suss'd Records reissues of the Salsoul Records catalogue were mastered from a clean vinyl copy if the original master tapes were unavailable. All these reissues have a write-up on the rear of the jacket about the tracks contained within, where it mentions if it was sourced from vinyl if the original tapes were unavailable. No mention of a vinyl source for this though. Shame about the quality as it is a dope tune.

Totally agree with Thomas.schwinn below. Terrible sound quality in Love For The Sake of Love - over compressed sound. It made me wonder if the copy was a bootleg despite looking official.

the mastering of Love For The Sake Of Love is very bad, the hi-hat crashes out of you speakers and it is a little bit too muched compressed, sounds, like it's a bad recording from another record that wasn't cleaned and then pressed again on vinyl, I don't believe Tom Moulton re-mastered this track, otherwise he must be drunk, while doing this

"Love For The Sake Of Love" is a phenomenally erotic, almost downtempo ('the tempo of love', will point out the connoisseurs :) disco masterpiece with instantly memorizable xylophonish gimmick and a very sensual vocal performance from Mrs Barry who lets the slow, tropical, sweaty groove take place and warmly en-trance the dancefloor before progressively entering in after a few minutes.
A summum of sensuality and elegance.
