One of the first tracks that introduced me to this music!! Still mixing it after all this time, top track simple as that.

It says white label but there are pictures with a label, are there two versions on same catalogue number?

Just pulled this off my shelf for the first time in twenty years and eye opener gave me tingles from my head to my toes. This tune used to rip the sanctuary a new one. Anyone who doesn't agree, wasn't there!! Brisk in his absolute pomp...

Bought this banger for a fiver in Manchester's Spin inn around 1997. Love it just as much in 2021.

I actually had to play the YouTube video to remind myself what the B side (I Need Somebody) sounded like as I had totally forgotten it. Back in the day I was only interested in the A side (Eye Opener) and my opinion hasn't changed. This track was massive at the time, and it always got the crowd going when it was played. It was one of the first hardcore records I owned and is still one of my favourites. Really hard, fat, uplifting sound, it was everything that hardcore was supposed to be in my eyes.

Probably one of the finest hardcore tracks ever made. You simply can't beat it. Brisk & Trixxy delivered an absolute stormer with this release.

"I Need somebody" is just an insanely great tune. I've read the comments and there are haters but i suspect for the A-side mostly. And to the haters for A then i get it for the way the sound has dated, but the haters for B i just don't understand - this is an amazing tune with such energy still in 2021. It's not a guilty pleasure - of this tune "I Need Somebody" i am proud!!! :D

Absolutely fantastic tune, defo one of the best of its time. You could tell it a mile off when it was mixing in. 10/10

Some have called it crap, some have called it the greatest Happy Hardcore track of all time. Once I might have been inclined to agree with the latter until I found out it is not an original piece, and actually a cover of an Italian dance track.

It's actually a little odd sounding too listening back, as the main synth riff doesn't entirely fit with other Happy hardcore stuff at the time, although the 'funky-ass' bridge section does. This isn't a bad thing really as it adds some of the originality lacking in the vocal, but kind of begs the question, is it Happy Hardcore, or freeform then? It's definately pretty damn good whatever, and should be in every Hardcore record box, so get it if you can.
